What happens to French text
French words written with plain letters transform completely. Accents — é, è, ê, à, ç and friends — are preserved because the styled Unicode sets contain no accented forms.
'Très chic' becomes 𝓉𝓇ès 𝒸𝒽𝒾𝒸 in cursive: the styled letters flow while è stays crisp and correct.
Characters that stay original
These French characters have no styled Unicode equivalents. Inside converted words they remain exactly as you typed them — correct spelling beats fake styling.
Sample conversion
Note: characters like é è ê à remain unstyled inside the converted output.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I remove accents before converting?expand_more
You could type the unaccented form first, but we recommend keeping accents — correctness beats styling for names like Élodie or Céline.
Does œ or æ convert?expand_more
No. Ligatures are single pre-composed characters outside the styled sets, so they are preserved.
